Philippa Brock (she/her) is a seasoned communications and public relations expert with almost two decades of experience, spanning New York City to Vancouver, finally coming full circle to her native North East in 2010. Born and raised in South Tyneside she graduated with a Master of Arts in Politics from the University of Glasgow.

She was previously Strategic Communications Director with The Great Run Company, the UK’s leading mass participation sports events company and home of the iconic Great North Run. She now works as a freelance consultant with Great Run, as well as visitor attractions, festivals and events across the region.

Philippa is especially passionate about promoting the city of Newcastle and the region to national and international audiences. At Newcastle Creates she is committed to improving access to cultural activity for everyone living in Newcastle.
